With a fairly mild, temperate climate where each month merges into the next, Hanover is a pleasant city to visit, regardless of the time of year. However, typically Germany in character, the weather in Hanover can be rather changeable at times, when any day can be rainy or sunny, warm or cold, gusty or calm - or any combination of all of these conditions.

Spring is an especially beautiful time to visit the city of Hanover, although the overall climate can seem a little slow to change. By the time that April arrives, temperatures soon climb above 13°C / 55°F and it becomes clear that T-shirt and shorts weather is just around the corner. Following the occasional Indian summer in Hanover, it is not unknown for beer gardens to remain open throughout October and if you hit lucky, the autumn months can be particularly warm, with plenty of stable, blue skies and outdoor activities on offer.
